Blossoming Jewish Support for Ron Paul in Israel?

NEWS ANALYSIS/OPINION

At least one small MeetUp group for Ron Paul has taken hold in Israel, where sources say support for the GOP Jeffersonian conservative presidential candidate is blossoming. Others are in the works as well, sources say.

These international sources add that GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul’s foreign policy of non-intervention is dear to the hearts of more and more Jews in Israel, as well as in America. “What people who have not been to Israel, or lived there extensively, do not understand is that there are plenty of Jews in Israel who do not want the kind of aid and support that America offers. They think it is making things worse.”

The massive funding Israel gets from abroad may actually make it more difficult for market forces to assert themselves in the region and allow all to operate with “enlightened self interest.”

Such funding and international forces have historically buffeted the Jewish people. It could be argued, for instance. that nothing stopped Jews from returning to their “homeland” and buying land and living there in peace, instead of recreating a 2000 year old state - what ultimately happened.

In fact, the historical record seems to show that Israel was set up by Jewish elites and conceived of as a socialist state for a variety of reasons, not all of them simplistic or obvious.

FMNN has already written of the diaries of a Jewish founder proposing that Jewish people be panicked into migrating to Israel based on the deliberate support of anti-Jewish feeling elsewhere in the world. This does seem to have happened in the 20th century.

Jews in Israel serve in the army, but that still doesn’t mean that all who serve in the Army agree with Jewish state policy, especially as they mature and see the world as it is. Much of what is controversial about the Jewish state is imposed via state dogma and practices. In fact, given apparent birth-rate statistics, the current Jewish state is at the very least considerably unstable.

In any event, what a state does, even one that has supposedly been put in power by “free elections” may be far different than the majority of the citizenry want or ultimately come to believe.

In America, for instance, a majority of people support a re-opening of questions about 9/11 and a vast majority want America to stop its current wars. Over the long-term this may happen, not necessarily in the short.

Jewish people are just like other people; they want to live in peace, raise families and make money to support them. Yet as the current environment turns more difficult, it is apparent that the mass of Jews’ basic similarity to others is that they are as oppressed, if not moreso, by current and historical forces. This is exactly the paradigm Jewish supporters of Ron Paul may be advancing.

It would seem, in this paradigm, that Jews have been lied to and manipulated by their own leaders as well as dynastic, monied families, commonly associated with the Jewish people. Thus it is that “Jews” have been held up as exploiters of others.

In fact, it may be the “Jews” who are exploited, given misinformation about markets and economic truth by rabbis who are in turn misinformed by the religious apparatus which is beholden to larger interests which seem Jewish but have their own agendas that have nothing to do with the best interests of “Jews.”

As this knowledge percolates through the Jewish culture, thanks in large part to the Internet, changes are in store for Jews’ perception of themselves and in the perceptions of others about “Jews” as a homogenous culture and religion.

Support for Ron Paul and his anti-war, anti-interventionism approach - in which free-trade takes the place of manipulative violence and endless war - may be just the beginning.
